This message is the final message in a series on the Core Four. Today, we expand the understanding of what it means to be a disciple. One aspect of discipleship is "outreach." How is outreach different than social justice or organizations? How can Pontiac Bible Church increase it's footprint in our community? How does the gospel affect culture? It is our desire to make an impact with the gospel locally, regionally & globally.
In week 3 of our Core Four series, we take a look at the words of Moses in Deuteronomy 6:4-7 and discover how those words define and even dictate how we view and pursue our Next Generation Ministries at PBC. Above all else, we believe the most important thing we can teach our children and teenagers is to love God with all they are. This is the essence of the Old Testament Law and the essence of our ministry to children and teenagers at PBC.
"One of the surest barometers of the quality of your Christian life is the quality of Christian relationships in your life." Biblical Community as defined by the leaders of PBC is simply "deep, abiding relationships in the body of Christ." We tackle similar questions as we did last week. We are in week two of our series, "The CORE Four." As we look at the compass of discipleship, Biblical Community has to be...at the CORE.
We believe our mission is connecting and equipping people to follow Jesus. We accomplish that mission as we celebrate, connect, and contribute together in four key contexts: WORSHIP, BIBLICAL COMMUNITY, OUTREACH, and NEXT GENERATION. The four primary areas, driven by the power of PRAYER become the core principles that guide the ministries of PBC and form a pathway to follow in Jesus's footsteps. In this message, Pastor Andy preaches on the first core principle, Worship: Together in God's Presence Glorifying Father, Son, and Spirit. We'll examine three important questions: 1) What is worship? 2) Why is it important to worship together? 3) How do we worship together as PBC?
