In week 3 of our series, Enough, Pastor Andy takes us to 2 Corinthians to see what Paul had to say about generosity. The Corinthians were very gifted and abundantly blessed... but a little on the stingy side. Paul taught them (and by extension, us) why it's important to be defined by generosity.
Pastor Andy continues our series on biblical stewardship with a message on contentment. We believe that God doesn't just give us enough, he gives us more than enough so that we can use the extra to serve the church and bless others. But, how much is enough. Can you be content on 90% of what God has given you? 85%? 80%? Contentment is the bedrock of biblical stewardship, and the Bible has much teach us about how to cultivate an attitude of contentment in your life.
Stewardship probably isn't one of those words you use in your every day vernacular. Yet, from cover to cover, the Bible's pages are filled with the call to biblical stewardship. Stewardship is a management term. But, in order to understand stewardship, we must also understand ownership. God has given us all things that pertain to life & godliness. We are managers of all that he has given to us and He has given to us according to our abilities.
