The Core Four: Biblical Community

"One of the surest barometers of the quality of your Christian life is the quality of Christian relationships in your life."  Biblical Community as defined by the leaders of PBC is simply "deep, abiding relationships in the body of Christ."  We tackle similar questions as we did last week.  We are in week two of our series, "The CORE Four."  As we look at the compass of discipleship, Biblical Community has to be...at the CORE.

The Core Four: Worship

We believe our mission is connecting and equipping people to follow Jesus.  We accomplish that mission as we celebrate, connect, and contribute together in four key contexts: WORSHIP, BIBLICAL COMMUNITY, OUTREACH, and NEXT GENERATION.  The four primary areas, driven by the power of PRAYER become the core principles that guide the ministries of PBC and form a pathway to follow in Jesus's footsteps.  In this message, Pastor Andy preaches on the first core principle, Worship: Together in God's Presence Glorifying Father, Son, and Spirit.  We'll examine three important questions: 1) What is worship?  2) Why is it important to worship together?  3) How do we worship together as PBC?

Which "Way" Will You Choose?

PBC Elder Mike Todd brings a message for 2017.  Psalm 1 presents two "ways," the way of the righteous and the way of the wicked.  Every human being has the freedom to choose their way.  The way of the righteous brings many benefits and ultimately leads to eternal life.  The way of wicked brings death and eternal separation from God.  Which way will you choose in 2017?

Why Worship?

Why do we worship?  Genuine worship is our response to who God is.  Last week we were reminded that God is Awesome.  In response to that truth, we worship.  We recognize our utter dependence on Him.  Psalm 96 is a call to worship.  We are called & created by God to worship.  The Westminster Shorter Catechism:  the chief end of man is to glorify God and enjoy him forever.
